I spent a lot of years growing up observing my grandparents helping my parents. I knew that without their help, our life would look very different. I remember thinking "I hope I can help my kids like they help theirs."
It's not my time yet. Still today, when we need the help, there they are. And I'm still thinking "Someday, I hope my kids can come to me the way I still go to them."
I know they will. I know we'll be there. Today, looking down a long dark tunnel, it's hard to imagine that day. Yet I know it will come.
Today, I'll just cuddle them.
