Snow Play

Back to back snow storms (dubbed "Snowpocalypse" and "Snowmageddon" in our neck of the woods) dumped over 25 inches of frozen powder on our landscape the last 10 days or so.

My children and puppy (ok, me and hubby too) were in AWE of God's beauty in snow. The children had never seen such a thing.  Man, it made for some fun.  A tow bill and stalled vehicle, too, but that's beside the point.  It left us with FOUR snow days as a family, and I sopped up every moment.  We baked cookies, watched movies, played board games, slept in, stayed up late, got FROZEN then took warm baths, sat by the fire, made soup, got sick of each other...then did it all over again three days later.  It was AWESOME.  The pics look like Colorado or Alaska.  Nope.  Kansas.

Me and my big girl.  The snow went up to her shoulders (she's a full size retriever!)

Work it, girl.  Get through that snow! (this was the first wave)

I love family shots.  We were suffering from hypothermia here.

Boogie boarding.  In the back yard!

Shelby, the snowball catching wonder dog.
