Monday:
- Movers arrived late - but it gave me time to get a manicure. Score! Also got to have lunch with my daddy.
- Movers arrived, loaded everything up without incident (Lord, almighty was it fun to watch them and not have to help).
- Arrived at new home, unloaded and put beds together. Nighty, night.
Tuesday:
- New furniture arrived. So pretty.
- Unpacked the entire kitchen, as well as other "stuff."
- Went to kids' school for a tour.
- Ate at Boston Market (um, YUM.)
Wednesday:
- Washer and dryer arrived - delivery men broke dryer on installation. Adam had to use his "big voice" with the lady on the customer care line when she said they could get us a new one after Christmas. Big voice worked and the Christmas elves magically found one available for delivery on Monday.
- Signed my contract!! My name is on my office door, a purple orchid is on my desk to welcome me and my chair still has the price tag on it. ;)
- New bathroom floor was installed.
- Unpacked nearly everything!
Thursday:
- THANKSGIVING!!! Stayed in my jammies ALL DAY with the exception of walking the dog in my yoga pants.
- Put up two Christmas trees and decorated.
- Finished unpacking.
- Warmed my prepared for me Thanksgiving supper (thank you, Hy-Vee).
- Watched Football.
- Loaded the crystal cabinet.
- Hung all the curtains and pictures.
Friday:
- Slept in. ;)
- Went to the mall - are you kidding me? We actually did it. And....
- I bought a KSU hat. ;)
- Ate leftovers.
- Welcomed our first visitors (my aunt, uncle, cousin and her son)
- Bought a bottle of wine and rented a movie to enjoy with my hubby after kids go to bed.
- Realized that all the boxes are unpacked (save a few with things that need to go back to my folks'). As I type this, one child is singing in one shower. The other is shouting "echo, echo" in the other. My husband is laying with my Christmas Collie on the bed, and I'm deciding what to make tomorrow for my folks' first visit.
Yep. We're home. We're loving it. Life feels good. I'm thankful for my beautiful new house, a job I'm thrilled to start, a happy husband, excited kids and the start of a new chapter.
