Deep in the heart of Texas

Our vacation to Texas was the perfect way to start off our summer.  Tornadoes followed us all the way (it was a week after the devastating tornadoes in Oklahoma, and two more hit after we went through).  But we made it safely, and for five GLORIOUS days, we were pampered and followed NO agenda.  We swam, we slept, we ate, we bonded with family -- our nuclear and extended family.  It was a dream! If you haven't been to the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, TX and need a vacation spot for your family...look no further.

My AMAZING cousin Jennifer. I love her to pieces.

My cousin Lowry (left) and her daddy (my daddy's cousin), Gary.

The hotel had a water park and four resort pools on the property.

Blue bloods in a sea of red!  Our Royals won, though!

Bonding with my guy!
The view of the resort from atop the slide tower.

The Dallas Arboretum.  Heaven! These kids are the BEST travelers!

I love my peeps! (and my Royals)
