Showers of Blessings

Lately, lots of happy things have been happening around us. I thought I'd better write them down and pinch myself before they all start falling apart!
  • My dad found out earlier this week that his cancer is in total remission! PRAISE GOD!
  • My mom is walking without a walker or cane for the first time in years. She went to my son's school for lunch yesterday and he introduced her as his "new grandma."
  • Our son has been free of hospitalization since January - that is pretty much a record.
  • What's even more amazing is that with 6 weeks of school left, he's missed 9.5 days this year. Last year at this time - 21.
  • And even MORE amazing than that....we just home-treated a sinus infection to avoid influenza germs at the doctor - and he got through it without an antibiotic. For the first time. EVER.
  • I've mentioned this, but being pain-free and rid of toxic organs has made SUCH a HUGE difference in my life. It's the best decision I've made in years.
  • Over the course of the next six months, my house will be painted inside and out, my yard will grow grass and a swing set will be installed!
  • Three of my husband's cousins are expecting babies - Valerie's first, Robyn's first and Jamy's second. Three new little ones to love and adorn with gifts!
  • Blake is home from Iraq - actually HOME, HOME! As in he walked in our front door last night and showered us with hugs!
  • President Obama signed a bill (and it wasn't televised?) for my husband's company to make a kind of drug that is going to change the world of medicine. At a time when so many are losing jobs, this has meant increased job security, a hiring rush and a huge rise in stock at his company over the last few weeks!

Can you feel me smile?!
