Our nephew, Blake, lands this evening at his base in Colorado Springs after serving a 6-month deployment near Ballad, Iraq as an airman in the USAF. He called last night from Maryland and was stoked to have a hotel room with a king bed, bath tub and wi-fi all to himself and couldn't wait to see everyone today. His folks and sister, and his grandparents (my husband's parents) are on the road to meet him. It's a day to celebrate - welcome home, kiddo!

Today is the Day!
Our nephew, Blake, lands this evening at his base in Colorado Springs after serving a 6-month deployment near Ballad, Iraq as an airman in the USAF. He called last night from Maryland and was stoked to have a hotel room with a king bed, bath tub and wi-fi all to himself and couldn't wait to see everyone today. Thank God he is well. Now the real support begins. Everyone needs to make sure he gets some aftercare as he adjusts to life back home. He has a great family and friends and should be fine with everyones help.
