This weekend, we tripped over to KC for the Dinosaurs: Unearthed exhibit and Union Station. It was a short weekend get-away (it was our backup plan to our 4-day Tablerock Lake trip), but the change of scenery was much needed - and we had a lot of fun.

This wasn't a dino...it was Clifford. Hundreds of people were waiting in line to see him and have a $10 pic taken. We arranged our own kodak moment. Don't you love those smiles?!

The kids built dinos (think Build-a-Bear). This was them putting good wishes and kisses into the dinos.

The finished products. This is the waterfall INSIDE the hotel we stayed at.

Yep, we went too!

The dino-dig at T-Rex Cafe. If there had been a hotel in this restaurant, we'd have never left. The kids would have sat there for HOURS digging.

And for good measure...vaca wouldn't be complete without daddy acting like Will Ferrell from "Elf." Moments before this, he did the splits on the escalator. Here he is going down the up escalator. He also ate syrup on his sphagetti and pressed every button in the elevator, because it was "Like a Christmas tree!" Yep, it was a good weekend for me and my THREE KIDS!
