The following conversation took place between my 3 yo daughter and me this afternoon. She called me from her grandma's cell phone (sneaky little bugger)...
Her: "Hello? Mommy? Are you there?"
Me: "Yes, I am here. Did Grandma give you the phone?"
Her: "Mommy? Can you hear me?"
Me: "Yes honey, I hear you. Can you hear me?"
CLICK.
A few moments later...
Me: "Hello?"
Her: "Mommy? I called you back. I got the machine last time."
Me: "Honey, that wasn't a machine, it was me talking."
Her: "Really? (pause) Hi Mommy."
Me: "Is everything ok? Do you need something?"
Her: "No. (pause) You're silly!"
CLICK.
Ah, the joy of cell minutes and three year olds. God bless unlimited plans.
