We FINALLY got to do something "summery" as a family!! Ok so it's the middle of July, we know. But it takes the perfect formula for fun in this house: the weather was a pleasant 85 today, there was calm wind, and no one was sick, so we went to the zoo (well, a refuge actually, which is better in my opinion).

Our big man was chosen by the zookeeper to help feed Melton the Rhino. He gave this gentle giant a sweet potato, which he ate out of his hand. Then he got to pet him!
The kids and I were caught having fun!
We finished off the day with an ice cream cone...it was a very good day.
