I Have Four Things To Say

Before bed tonight, my 6 yo son announced, "I have four things to say." You could tell he'd been fashioning this in his mind for a while.

"One. I love you. Two, I'm glad that you didn't go to work this summer. Three, I'm ready to go to bed now, and four, I love you. Oh wait, I already said that. But that's ok, it is more important than my fourth thing."

I tucked him into bed with a big hug. Then I said, "What was the fourth thing?"

"Oh yeah, I have to pee."
